VRi Presented KarismaCG3 and Karisma Studio at InterBEE 2023
15 November 2023 – VRi presented KarismaCG3 and Karisma Studio at the InterBEE 2023 (15-17 November).
InterBEE is Japan’s largest broadcasting industry show, annually held in Chiba Makuhari Messe, Japan. The online exhibition will be held until 15 December 2023.
KarismaCG3, a full-3D graphics software that produces and plays beyond 4K to 8K resolution was developed based on KarismaCG (Domestic name: Tornado2), which has been loved as Korea’s representative broadcasting graphics system. KarismaCG3 supports customizable UI, native HDR, and a maximum 20-layer playout.
A producer who works in content production expressed, “It’s impressive that KarismaCG allows immediate playout without rendering, despite its exceptional 3D graphics expression.”
Karisma Studio is an all-in-one video wall graphics solution that can be applied to live broadcasts using high-quality real-time graphics engines that support SDI, HDMI, and DP. It supports ultra-high resolution video playback of up to 9,600 pixels (HX) or 15,360 pixels (UX) in width.
While encountering LED video walls is still challenging in Japanese news studios, there is considerable interest in adopting new production methods. An engineer who works in a broadcasting station mentioned, “After witnessing the usage in Korean broadcasts and dramas, we aspired to introduce it to our news studio. We are considering adopting LED video walls, and Karisma Studio can be a great option.”
