BC (Munhwa Broadcasting), which started the world’s first terrestrial UHD broadcasting, unveiled its news studio on June 26, 2023 (KST) using Karisma Studio (Domestic: Tornado Studio), an all-in-one video wall solution from VRi.
At MBC News Studio, a giant 24-meter LG LED wall, curved LED wall, and touchscreen are installed. In addition, the vertical LED wall, introduced first in Korea, can move horizontally, allowing viewers to experience the scene more immersively. Meanwhile, Karisma Studio supports editing and playout of vertical content through its striped area mapping feature.
Based on a high-performance graphics engine optimized for live broadcasting, Karisma Studio supports up to 11,520 pixels in the HX line-up and 15,360 pixels in the UX line-up to produce and playout ultra-high-definition video wall content, as well as editing clip properties in real-time.
