It is an innovative graphic editing system created from the ideas of editors and operators, like you, who wanted to see the transition of the device from linear editing to non-linear editing.
By linking KarismaCG and D-Stream, you can mix and playback videos and subtitle animations in real-time without rendering and a switcher.
In order to insert various high-quality subtitles into a variety show or information program, field operator had to spend a great deal of time and effort transferring an enormous volume of subtitle files to the non-linear device.
To solve this problem, we developed a system that implements a workflow which eliminates the need to move subtitle files by allowing clean video files from NLE to be imported into D-Stream as XML and shared with KarismaCG.
In the post-production workflow, repeating the work of modifying the length of time right before the end of editing is one of the labors that requires long hours of work. For your convenience, we have come up with a structure that can easily and effieciently modify the time length by sharing sequence with NLE using XML and AAF.
KarismaCG is equipped with the function that can create multiple effects and animations without rendering. Also, D-Stream has the basic non-linear functions and shortcut keys that can be set freely, so no special training is required.
KarismaCG+D-Stream+NLE allows you to build one editing room, eliminating the need for large sized switchers and editors. Compared to the existing linear device, you can greatly reduce the facility cost as well as the size of the editing room. It makes it possible for you to have a better facility than the existing editing environment with low cost and at a convenient location.
You can still control each in the linear editor without linking KarismaCG and D-Stream. It is also possible to extend the lifetime of linear device and switch over to non-linear device, even in the changed environment from tape-based to filed based operation.
These functions allow more collaborative work and sharing than that of the current level, enabling high-quality editing with less time consuming.
