VRi in InterBEE 2024: Showcased Future of Broadcast Graphics
From November 13 to 15, Visual Research Inc. (VRi) participated in Inter BEE 2024, Japan’s largest broadcasting technology exhibition, at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan.
At the booth of its Japanese distributor, Japan Material, VRi showcased KarismaCG3 and Karisma Studio. The display featured a collaboration with LG Electronics Inc., where the micro-LED display LG MAGNIT LSAB007 highlighted the stunning, lifelike graphics of Karisma Studio. With precise color rendering and sharp contrast, it provided an immersive visual experience for attendees.
The exhibition also introduced Japan-focused content developed in partnership with the live graphics production company digidelic Inc. Highlights included a “Deep Sea Atlantis” showcase and esports-themed player introduction scenes, demonstrating KarismaCG3’s powerful real-time 3D graphics rendering capabilities and capturing the attention of visitors.
Additionally, digidelic Inc. developed custom applications using the Karisma SDK, enabling visitors to experience simplified broadcast workflows firsthand, making the event both interactive and informative.
KarismaCG3 Makes Its Debut at the IP Pavilion
KarismaCG3 was also featured in the IP Pavilion, which this year centered on the theme “Collaboration Beyond Boundaries.” KarismaCG3 operated seamlessly alongside third-party products on an NMOS network, demonstrating its versatility and interoperability and showcasing its compatibility and reliability in next-generation content production workflows.
Moreover, VRi partnered with Matrox to demonstrate real-time graphics delivery via the Matrox Origin media framework. The showcased service, tentatively named “KarismaCGService,” supports both cloud and on-premises workflows. This innovative service is set to make its next appearance at NAB 2025 in Las Vegas, further extending its global reach.
